The Orthodox Union’s Ask OU Community Lecture Series today announced the receipt of a grant from the Harry H. Beren Foundation of Lakewood, NJ, in memory of Mr. Beren z”l.
The Harry H. Beren Ask OU Community Lecture Series, an initiative of OU Kosher, presents dynamic programs that provide kosher education to the Jewish community.
Upcoming programs include the OU Pareve Mesorah Conference in New York, Sunday, February 19, which will give a halachic and historical perspective of fish, plants, and color; and the new Kashrut in the Workplace initiative in which OU experts will be visiting OU synagogues throughout North America to answer questions frequently asked by kosher observant Jews working in a secular environment.
Rabbi Menachem Genack, CEO Kashrut Department, lauded the lifetime vision of Mr. Beren, and the foundation established in his name, to support educational programs which benefit the Jewish community.
