As Pesach approaches, OU Kosher will bring its Harry H. Beren ASK OU Outreach program to Lakewood for two special shiurim to be held Monday, April 18. Its primary audience is Bnei HaYeshivos, yeshiva students, during Bein HaZemanim, their Pesach vacation. It will be held at Congregation Lev Avos, at the corner of Oak Knoll and Iris Road in Lakewood beginning at 12 noon.
The unique program will be sponsored by the Harry H. Beren Foundation of New Jersey which sponsors all of the ASK OU programs at the OU.
The guest speakers will be Rabbi Moshe Elefant, COO and Executive Rabbinic Coordinator of OU Kosher and Rabbi Eli Gersten, Rabbinic Coordinator and recorder of OU Psak and Policy.
Admission is free for the event, which is being held in memory of Rav Chaim Yisroel ben Reb Dov HaLevi Belsky zt”l, the posek of the OU who passed away earlier this year.
“It is a great privilege for me to be involved in some way in bringing two special Pesach shiurim to the esteemed Lakewood community,” declared Rabbi Yosef Grossman, OU Kosher Senior Educational Rabbinic Coordinator.” The program will feature two leading kashrus experts. Rabbi Moshe Elefant will discuss Contemporary Shaylos in Tevilas and Hechsher Keilim while Rabbi Eli Gersten will share with us Rav Belsky zt’l’s Pesach Psokim. I am confident that all the many participants will be very pleased that they attended such a unique experience.”
There will be a question and answer session. Priority will be given to questions sent to Rabbis Elefant and Gersten by fax at 212-613-0621 or grossman@ou.org. For more information contact Rabbi Grossman at 212-613-8212.
