When the UAE opened their doors to Israeli tourism, the Orthodox Union was there. Where were we? Where we always are. In the kitchen, ensuring that the Kosher food is held to the highest halachik standards. After seeing the work of the OU in the initial meetings with US and Israeli officials, the UAE requested that the OU remain on board to provide kosher certification for the businesses that will now be attracting Israeli tourists looking for Kosher food.
The Orthodox Union, the largest Kosher certification body in the world, expands its reach into the UAE by working with UAE’s local Jewish community to further Kosher opportunities. Already, many UAE hotels are boasting of OU certified food choices and the OU will also certify its first major UAE event: Expo 2020 in October 2020 in Dubai.
Rabbi Yissachar Krakowski was OU Kosher’s man on the ground in Dubai, flying in from Israel to secure Kosher food for those working on the deal including President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Thanks to OU Kosher, the horizons of Kosher travel continue to expand to the far corners of the Earth. As new, exotic vacation destinations arise, OU Kosher is there to ensure that there are options available for Kosher travelers.
