Ingredients
  • 1¼ cups buttermilk
  • 1½ Tablespoons almond extract
  • 3 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ⅓ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ Tablespoons poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1½ Tablespoons gluten (optional)
  • 3⅓ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1½ teaspoons yeast
  • ½ cup almonds, chopped

Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the nuts according to the manufacturer's directions. Add nuts after the first kneading. Bake on Sweet Bread setting.

Remember to make an Eruv Tavshilin!
