(Lima) 26 of October 2007.- The American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (Amcham Peru) announces the following two day seminar “The Organic and Kosher Foods Market in the United States”, which will take place the 7th and 8th of November from 6:00 a 8:30 p.m., in the offices of AmCham Peru (Av. Ricardo Palma 836 – Miraflores, Lima- Peru).
Featured speaker Rabbi Eliyahu Safran has been serving as senior Rabbinic Coordinator of the Orthodox Union for the past 13 years will deliver through web conference a 1 hour presentation regarding the Kosher Foods Market in the United States and its potential for Peruvian food exporters. Also speaking, Mr. Omar Azañedo, Head of the Trade Center of AmCham Peru and Mr. José Tagle, Commercial Advisor of the Trade Center of AmCham Peru will give a presentation on the Organic Market trends in the United States and provide valuable information on the many opportunities for Peruvian organic growers and exporters.
Rabbi Safran serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications of the Orthodox Union (OU), the world’s largest and most respected kosher certification agency, certifying more than 400,000 products in approximately 6,000 plants located in 80 countries across the world. A recent survey has found the symbol of the Orthodox Union to be consumers’ preferred kosher certification in the packaged goods marketplace.

Este seminario contará con la exposición vía videoconferencia desde Nueva York del Rabino Eliyahu Safran, Coordinador Rabino Senior; el Sr. Omar Azañedo, Jefe del TradeCenter de la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú; y del Sr. José Tagle, Consejero Comercial Adjunto de la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú, quienes explicarán el por qué del boom de los productos orgánicos y alimentos Kösher en Estados Unidos, además de brindar información valiosa sobre los requerimientos del mercado para aprovechar la coyuntura actual.
