Phyllis Koegel, OU Kosher Marketing Director and Woodmere resident popularly known as “The Woman Who Keeps Tootsie Rolls Kosher,” was honored last night at the fifth annual Pre-Kosherfest “KosherFEAST” Media Dinner at T-Fusion Steakhouse in Brooklyn. A Kosherfest regular for many years, Ms. Koegel often travels around the globe and has also been to major cities throughout the U.S. to make the case for OU Kosher certification to hundreds of companies. She is among the roster of Kosherfest honorees and attendees which included various influential food writers, culinary editors, media personalities, recipe bloggers, cookbook authors and food brand professionals.
