Rabbi Eliyahu W. Ferrell is a veteran Rabbinic Coordinator with OU Kosher, having joined in 2000. He is the account manager for close to 400 plants, focusing primarily on the manufacture of snacks, chemicals, and packaging materials.
He was also involved in the posting of hundreds of short classes on a wide range of kosher topics for the OU Kosher website. These classes were given by numerous OU rabbis. Rabbi Ferrell is also the author of several works on Jewish law. Rabbi Ferrell studied in Yeshiva Kesser Torah, Queens, NY, before entering Yeshiva University’s affiliated rabbinical school, the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. It is from there that he received his rabbinic ordination. He and his wife, Aliza, reside in Passaic, NJ, and like most parents and grandparents, will talk about their progeny with little prompting or brevity.
