Ramen Royale Salad
Ramen Royale Salad Eileen Goltz | Pareve or Dairy

  • 2 (3 oz.) packages pareve chicken ramen soup mix
  • 2 cups red or green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
  • ½ cup canned mandarin orange slices
  • 2 Tablespoon unsalted sunflower seeds, shelled
  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Juice from 1 fresh lime
  • 1 ramen seasoning packet

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package, but do not add seasoning packet.
  2. Drain the noodles and place them in large salad bowl. Add the cabbage, onions, sesame seeds, orange slices and sunflower seeds and toss to combine.
  3. In a mixing bowl combine the sugar, oil, mustard powder, salt, pepper, lime juice and one ramen seasoning packet.
  4. Whisk the dressing well and then pour it over the noodle mixture.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle the with nuts and cheese if you want to make the salad dairy.
