Soup with optional grated cheese
- 1 lb. onion, sliced
- 4 Tablespoon oil
- 1 cup white wine
- 6 cups water
- 2 Tablespoon parve bouillon powder
- Brown onion in hot oil.
- Add wine, water and bouillon powder.
- Bring to a boil, cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
- If using for dairy, you may sprinkle each bowl of soup with grated cheese.
