Onion Soup
This recipe is kosher for Passover.

Soup with optional grated cheese

  • 1 lb. onion, sliced
  • 4 Tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 Tablespoon parve bouillon powder

  1. Brown onion in hot oil.
  2. Add wine, water and bouillon powder.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
  4. If using for dairy, you may sprinkle each bowl of soup with grated cheese.
