A Different Kind of Cholent (meat or pareve)

3 onions
1 zucchini
4 carrots
1 sweet potato
5 white potatoes
1/2 cup rice
1/2 cup barley 1/2 cup kasha
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Season to taste - salt - pepper - garlic
meat (optional)
chicken (optional)


Place all the ingredients in a pot and cook at 350 for 1/2 hour. Lower the temperature to 300 and allow to simmer for another hour. Make sure that the water is covering all the ingredients and reduce the heat to 250 and place the kishke on top.
