What is the definition of food that can be eaten raw?

Food that most people would feel comfortable eating without cooking would fall under this category. Some common examples are water, oil, butter, jam and jelly, fruit juice (excluding grape), honey, yogurt, canned fruit, flavored drinks, milk, ice cream, banana chips, nuts, cheese, vinegar, ketchup, apple sauce and many canned vegetables (corn, string beans, peas, carrots, mushrooms, cucumbers and peppers).
