Please remember to always check the label before purchasing any item that needs kosher certification!
Kashrus Alert – Giant and Stop & Shop Shank Bones
Brands:Products: Wrapped shank bones for the Seder, with no Kosher markings, were made available in some supermarkets. Giant and Stop & Shop offered these bones free of charge. They were displayed in the Kosher meat case. These bones were not Kosher. Consumers who cooked or broiled these bones should consult their local Rabbi regarding the Kosher status of their stoves or utensils. Giant and Stop & Shop’s intentions were to service their valued Kosher consumer. They regret any confusion they have inadvertently caused.

Some packages of Grissol Crispy Baguette – Original, are mistakenly labelled with an OU-D symbol. This product does not contain any dairy ingredients and is certified by the Orthodox Union as pareve. Corrective measures are being implemented.

Coupons for the Cold Rush Frozen Yogurt store in the Richfield Shopping Center in Clifton N.J. bear an unauthorized OU symbol. These coupons were distributed in the Passaic-Clifton area. The Orthodox Union does not certify Cold Rush and has no information about the kosher status of that store.
Mountainside Farms – Milk

All Mountainside Farms milk bearing date codes April 10th through April 21st are OU certified Kosher for Passover. The “OU-KP” stamped after the code was left off some cartons.

When warming Mon Cuisine frozen meals in a microwave, consumers should double wrap the carton. Mon Cuisine is changing its packaging to alleviate this issue by overwrapping the carton.
