Products: Ready Meals: All Varieties
Company: South Beach Diet Corp., Bonita Springs, FL
South Beach Ready Meals are not certified by the Orthodox Union. Some of the Ready Meals packaging bear an unauthorized OU symbol. Products are being withdrawn from the marketplace for relabeling.
Products: Honey Cheddar 6 o' Clock Crunch
Company: Peanut Patch dba Feridies
A limited quantity of Feridies Honey Cheddar 6 o’ Clock Crunch snack mix were packed in containers with an unauthorized OU symbol. This Honey Cheddar product is not certified by the Orthodox Union and corrective measures were implemented.
Products: Milk Chocolate Caramel Apples
Company: V Chocolates - Salt Lake City, UT
Some labels are missing the “D” designation and bear the plain OU instead. The product is clearly dairy, as listed on the label. Corrective measures have been implemented.
Products: Dried Shrimp
Company: Badia Spices Inc., Miami FL
Some packages of Badia Dried Shrimp mistakenly bear the OU symbol. This product is not kosher. Corrective measures have been implemented.
Products: Woven Wheat Crackers
Company: Winn Dixie, Jacksonville FL
Winn Dixie Woven Wheat Crackers are certified by the Orthodox Union as a kosher pareve product. Some packaging mistakenly bear an OU P symbol. This product is not kosher for Passover. The mislabeled products are being withdrawn from the marketplace.
Products: Grape Molasses
Company: Korhan Pazarlama Ve Dis Tic A.S. Istambul, Turkey
Some jars of Sera Grape Molasses mistakenly bear an unauthorized OU. This particular Sera product is not certified by the Orthodox Union. Corrective actions have been implemented.
Products: Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Company: Unified Grocers Inc. Commerce, CA
Missing D Dairy designation
Springfield Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips are certified as an OU-D Dairy product. The product contains milk derivatives. Recently, some bags were printed with a plain OU, without the D Dairy designation. The mislabeled products are sold primarely in Southern California. The mislabeled products are being withdrawn from the marketplace.

Company: Aunt Nellie's
Due to supply chain issues, the OU symbol has temporarily been removed. As always, consumers are urged to verify the kosher symbol on each and every product.
Products: Manhattan (alcoholic drink)
Company: Francovich Distillers, Reno Nevada
Issue: Unauthorized OU
Manhattan, an alcoholic drink manufactured by Francovich Distillers, bears an unauthorized OU symbol. The Orthodox Union does not certify Francovich Distillers. Corrective action has been implemented.
Products: Zesty Pepps Stuffed With Garlic Herb Cream Cheese
Company: Castella, Hauppauge NY
Issue: Missing D – Dairy designation
Castella Zesty Pepps Stuffed With Garlic Herb Cream Cheese is certified by the Orthodox Union as an OU-D Dairy product. Some labels mistakenly bear the OU symbol without the ‘D’ Dairy designation. This product is sold at Costco. It contains dairy, as clearly indicated in the product name. Corrective measures have been implemented.
