2014 was an exciting time to start a CBD company because the industry was just beginning to take off. Sequoia Price-Lazarus and a small, dedicated team, including Evan Skandalis (VP of Farm Operations), Dylan Summers (VP of Government Affairs) and Ian Tudor (Crystallization Specialist) wanted to be a part of a movement to help people help themselves. By making CBD products that are both effective and affordable, anyone, regardless of their situation, could experience the benefits of CBD. To ensure quality, potency and consistency, they imagined a farm to front door model of transparency, where the company handled every step of the process. They started out selling handcrafted CBD products at farmer’s markets and have gone on to become an industry leader. Today, the company continues to grow, with three farms in Central Oregon and more new products and innovations.
“Our company was founded with a mission to provide high-quality CBD for everyone and we price our products fairly,” says Price-Lazarus. “ We asked ourselves, why should high quality, effective CBD only be available to those who can afford overpriced products?”
Lazarus Naturals has always offered an industry-leading 60% discount to veterans, low income households and individuals with long-term disabilities. Providing access to high-quality CBD products isn’t just about affordability, though.
Partnering with Othodox Union on Kosher certification makes our our products accessible to even more people. And the OU’s careful and thorough review of our ingredients and operations provides validation from a trusted source that our products meet this high standard of quality.
Lazarus Naturals’ CBD tinctures, capsules, and topicals are made from hemp grown on our Central Oregon farms. We control every step of the process, from harvesting and extraction to formulation and packaging, resulting in consistent, effective, high-quality products.
Each batch of tinctures, topicals, capsules and pet products undergoes third-party testing for residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microbial impurities and potency. These test results can be found on our website by visiting the “Test Results” tab on an individual product page and looking for the batch number listed on the packaging.
