Rabbi Moshe Elefant\u00a0may be most closely identified as Chief Operating Officer of\u00a0OU Kosher\u00a0and the\u00a0magid shiur<\/i> of the Orthodox Union\u2019s AllDaf Daf Yomi<\/i> webcast<\/a> (whose thousands of daily learners make his lectures the most popular Daf\u00a0<\/i>in the world).\u00a0 For listeners of\u00a0 the Talkline With Zev Brenner<\/i> radio program, America\u2019s premier Jewish show, Rabbi Elefant\u2019s name has become strongly identified with the Passover holiday, as he joins the host on air the for the weeks leading up to the holiday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dates and Times to Hear Rabbi Elefant<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program airs Mondays-Thursday 8-9:00p.m. and Saturday nights 11PM -2:00 a.m. \u00a0on WSNR 620 AM for the New York Metropolitan area and WJPR 1640 AM for the Highland Park\/Edison area. On Sunday night, the show airs
\non WOR 710 AM from 9 PM – 10 PMRabbi Elefant will appear every night until Passover.<\/p>\n

\u201cRabbi Elefant comes from a position of great knowledge and strength, and is an individual who has received much respect from various segments of our community,\u201d shared Rabbi Brenner.\u00a0 \u201cListeners really find him refreshing because his knowledge is versatile enough to handle any questions we receive. He cuts across many backgrounds, and has become very popular over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRadio format is very personal, as people are able to communicate back and forth in discussions\u2014that\u2019s something you can\u2019t do online or in the newspaper,\u201d Zev Brenner said.<\/p>\n

From his home in Brooklyn, Rabbi Elefant joins the show and stays on the air for as long as the conversations continue. \u201cSometimes I\u2019m on the air with Zev for a half hour, other nights I\u2019m there the full hour,\u201d noted Rabbi Elefant.\u00a0 \u201cThe listeners submit the topics of discussion and they range through every possible question and situation\u2014how to\u00a0kasher<\/i>\u00a0a dishwater for Passover, how to deal with a potential situation at a\u00a0Seder<\/i>? What medications are permissible during Passover?\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Mr. Brenner, there was such interest in Rabbi Elefant\u2019s participation on the Talkline show that this year, he brought Rabbi Elefant on air right after Purim to respond to questions. \u201cJewish law instructs us to begin learning about the specific holiday laws a month in advance\u2014we started even earlier!\u201d note an amused Rabbi Elefant. \u201cI hope I make my mother proud.\u201d<\/p>\n
