History and Values:
Lyo-San inc. is a family business, founded in 1983 and located in Lachute, Quebec. Lyo-San specializes in the freeze-drying (lyophilization) of dairy cultures (lactic bacteria) and probiotics. Our dairy cultures are primarily designed for making homemade yogurt, Greek yogurt and kefir.
Our Yogourmet products are distributed in all across North America, we also have a good experience serving international customers for many years (Canada, United States, Asia, Africa, etc.).

Original yogurt starter
Making homemade yogurt? It’s possible and so simple! With our freeze-dried yogurt starter the result is always smooth and creamy. Do good to your health with 100 billion live and active bacteria per 100 g serving! Once made, homemade yogurt keeps for 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

Probiotic yogurt starter
This yogurt starter allows you to make homemade probiotic yogurt, it contains 2 additional probiotic strains; Lactobacillus casei and Bifidobacterium (“Bifidus”) longum. Do good to your health with 100 billion live and active bacteria per 100 g serving! Once made, homemade yogurt keeps for 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
For best results, use with Yogourmet Multi yogurt maker because this starter requires a gradual increase of temperature from 25°C/77°F to 44°C/110°F.

NON-DAIRY yogurt starter
Use with soy beverage or other plant-based beverages : coconut milk, almonds or cashew(homemade) or vegetable-based.
Making non-dairy homemade yogurt? It’s now possible and so simple! With our freeze-dried yogurt starter, the result is always smooth ans creamy. Do good to your health with 80 billion live and active bacteria per 100 g serving! Once made, homemade yogurt keeps for 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator. Non-dairy homemade yogurt will make everyone happy!

Kefir starter
Origins of kefir may be 4000 years old but it’s still a major trend! Well-known as a fermented probiotic milk it contains vitamin B1, B12, calcium, folate and vitamin K2. Do good to your health with 100 billion live and active bacteria per 100 g serving! Once made, homemade kefir keeps for 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
