Turkey Loaf With Gravy

1 lb raw ground turkey
½ onion, diced
¼ cup oil
1 egg
¼ cup matza meal or potato starch
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper
GRAVY
½ cup oil
½ onion sliced
¼ lb mushrooms, diced
1 tbsp potato starch
1 ½ cups water
Salt and pepper
Heat oil in small pan. Add onions and sauté until lightly brown. Put turkey, matza meal and spices in greased foil loaf pan. Mix well, add onions with the oil. Pat down. Bake at 375 degrees about 45 minutes. Meanwhile for gravy – heat oil, add onions and mushrooms. Sauté until soft. Stir starch into cold water and add to onion mixture. Heat, stirring well until it thickens. Season to taste. Serve hot over sliced turkey loaf.
