Almond Caramel Brittle (dairy)

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups slivered almond

Instructions:

Grease a cookie sheet with butter. Grease a rolling pin with butter and set them aside. Pour the sugar into a sauce pan, heat, stirring constantly for about 1 minute. Add the molasses and cook until sugar is dissolved and mixture bubbles. Add the vanilla and stir for about 5 minutes. Add the slivered almonds and stir for another minute. Spread mixture quickly on a well greased baking sheet and roll with greased rolling pin. Let cool, break into pieces.
