The following recipe is one I cut out of Bon Appétit magazine a few years ago and it’s one of my all time favorites. "Fresh" parsley requires "checking" for insect infestation. Checking instructions are listed below in our "Special Instructions" section. "Dried" parsley does not require "checking"; however; a reliable kosher symbol or Rabbi's signature (hechsher) is necessary.

Aphids, thrips and other insects may often be found on the leaves and stems of these herbs. Insects tend to nestle in the crevices between the leaves and branches of herbs. These insects can curl up and stick to the leaf once they come in contact with water. Vegetable spinners, power hoses, and light boxes are not always available in the home. We therefore recommend the alternate procedure listed below in "Special Instructions".
