Reiter Dairy’s roots begin shortly after World War I, when Ralph Reiter entered the butter business as Miller-Maid Creamery. On February, 8, 1933, Ralph Reiter and his son, Harold, founded Reiter Dairy. Reiter pioneered the use of cellophane to cover the tops of milk bottles and was the first to use the homogenization process in Akron. Today, Reiter services most of Ohio, including the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Dayton, Columbus and Springfield markets.
