January 20, 2005

  These products are currently certified as Pareve by the Orthodox Union.   Product is being reformulated as non kosher. For a period of time, both versions will be available simultaneously. The reformulated product does not bear the OU symbol, contains gelatin, and bears different graphics stating “Better Tasting, Smoother, and Creamier.” The older version, bearing the OU symbol, will still be available and is in fact certified when bearing the OU symbol. Consumers should always check products at the time of purchase to verify the presence of a kosher symbol.

  Issue:

  These products bear an OU symbol and contain dairy ingredients (which are listed on the ingredient panel). The requisite “D” designation was inadvertently omitted. The error has been corrected.

  Issue:

  Mozzarella products with the expiration dates 04/02/05 and 02/01/05 and Scamorze with the expiration date 10/04/05 are not certified as kosher by the Orthodox Union and are to have the OU symbol covered or crossed out. Consumers should always check products at the time of purchase to verify the presence of a Kosher symbol.
