  This company had been OU certified. Effective immediately, and due to Kashruth violations, the Orthodox Union has rescinded its certification of Ahumados Noruegos. These products, primarily distributed in Mexico, are not to be accepted as Kosher certified – even when bearing the OU symbol.   Product bearing code #3193-ZK9 under OU, CRC, and Rav Shlomo Gissinger’s certification is being reviewed for possible levels of insect infestation. Consumers should also be advised that this product was packed in 2002 and has not been distributed by Bodek to stores within two years.

  Issue:

  Shop Rite Round Tortilla Chips are kosher certified by the Orthodox Union. During manufacture, several cases of non-certified chips were erroneously packed into the Round Tortilla bags. The non-certified product can be identified by it’s triangular shape, distinctive orange color, and date code of 18OCT04 Y2E2. Affected product has been withdrawn from the marketplace.
